I want to show videos from YouTube (or elsewhere) in my class but I can't always get access to YouTube in my classroom. What can I do?
It is not difficult to pull videos off of the web and save them to your own computer. There are a number of ways to do this:
1. Download RealPlayer (free version!) and use this to capture any video that you watch on your computer. Click here for directions.
2. If you don't want to have a program on your computer (RealPlayer) for capturing and playing videos, you can also use websites to do this for you. There are plenty out there. Here's a description of some of them.
